Sonic CD Lite is a free version of the popular Sonic CD game for Android. It's a faithful remake of the original 1993 Sega game, and it translates well to the mobile platform.
The charm of the original Sonic CD has been preserved in this version. Rather than try to update the graphics, Sega has retained the original 16-bit feel in this one, so fans of the original will be more than happy. The control system in Sonic CD is as simple as can be, including an on-screen joypad and an action button for jumping (although you can actually just tap the screen to jump anyway).
The gameplay is as franticly enjoyable as ever, as Sonic speeds around enchanting worlds looking for a way out. Testing on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the game ran very well with no detectable lag. However, reports from users on Google Play suggest that it doesn't run so well and less potent device and can become choppy.
There are three playable levels in Sonic CD Lite, which seems a little too 'lite'. However, to explore all the hidden areas and collect everything from each level will take you some time
