Nexus 4, 5, 7 and 10 get Android 4.4.3 KitKat update

Nexus 4, 5, 7 and 10 get Android 4.4.3 KitKat update

Google has officially released Android 4.4.3 KitKat, a security and bug-fix update for all its current and last-generation Nexus smartphones and tablets. The update is available for the Nexus 4, its successor the Nexus 5, both generations ofNexus 7 tablets and the larger Nexus 10.At present, the Android 4.4.3 release is a manual update based on the Nexus Factory Image system; this means that when the update is installed, it will wipe all existing data and applications from the handset and act as though it is beginning from scratch. For those who would rather not wipe their devices, Google is expected to launch the update as an over-the-air release soon. This version of the update will install over the top of an existing Android 4.4.2 operating system without losing any personal data or installed applications but may take some time to pass network approval.A point release update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the Android 4.4.3 release doesn't bring any massive changes. Unlike the release of Android 4.4 KitKat itself, there's no major new features or additional software bundled with the release - just fixes for security holes in the operating system and a small number of bug fixes for issues that have been reported by users. If you'd rather get a clean install and start playing with the new software immediately, however, images are available for manual installation on the official developer site.
