Top 10 Android app updates this week: Evernote, Chrome good day 9/8/2014

my love Happy Birthday 9/8/2014
Welcome back to our weekly Top 10 Android App Updates column, where we take a look at the most frequently upgraded apps for the week. We’ve found that one of the best ways to discover useful apps is to find the ones that are actually being updated by the developers rather than selecting the apps with the most installs. As in the past, we’re going to filter out minor updates for the super-popular apps that have over 10 million installs, but we’ll make exceptions for apps that have had significant updates. We hope you enjoy this weekly feature and that you discover some apps that end up being useful.

T-Mobile: We’ll beat the other carriers’ trade-in offers for your mobile hardware

theuncarrier
Looking for a way to snag a Galaxy Note 4Moto X (2014) or Xperia Z3 on the cheap? If you’ve got an existing smartphone or tablet that you’re willing to trade in, then T-Mobile would like to have a chat with you.T-Mobile announced this morning that it plans to offer the best trade-in values on mobile hardware of all the major U.S. carriers. Starting September 17, T-Mobile will “track the market” every day to make sure that it’s got the best trade-in values around. If you get a better trade-in offer from AT&T, Sprint or Verizon, T-Mo will give you the difference as well as a $50 credit, both of which go toward your bill.To take advantage of the promo, you need to call T-Mobile or visit its website within seven days of trading your device in. You’ll then tell T-Mo where and when you got the offer and how much it was for. You’ll then get the different and an additional $50 applied to your bill within two to three bill cycles.T-Mobile’s trade-in promo begins September 17 and will run for a “limited time.” While you’ll almost certainly get a better value for your device by going through Craigslist or eBay, trading a device in to T-Mo can be a much easier and faster experience, so that could be a route to consider if you just want to be rid of your existing hardware and upgrade to the new hotness as quickly as possible.Do you sell your devices to a carrier or through Craigslist/eBay when it’s time to upgrade? Or do you just hold on to your hardware so that you’ve got a backup?

Upcoming BlackBerry Classic poses in live photos

The yet to be launched BlackBerry Classic appeared in a number of live photos. Back in June, the CEO of BlackBerry first showcased the smartphone with a hardware QWERTY.
The leaked photos showcase the device alongside a handful of its relatives. They include BlackBerry Q10BlackBerry Bold 9900, as well as BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9981.
The Classic, as its name suggests, will target BlackBerry purists who do not like to change their smartphone habits. The handset will feature a trackpad, menu and back buttons, as well as dedicated keys for picking up and rejecting phone calls.

Rumored specs of BlackBerry Classic include a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 SoC, 2GB of RAM, and a 3.5” unit with 1:1 ratio. The OS is reportedly BlackBerry OS 10.3.
BlackBerry Classic is expected to debut at some point in November at a significantly lower price point than the BlackBerry Passport. The later will launch later this month, on September 24.
