Samsung Galaxy S5 to launch on March 27 in Malaysia

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5 during the MWC in Barcelona last month. The flagship is going to become available internationally on April 11. As it turns out though some markets may be getting the Galaxy S5 even earlier.
The three biggest carriers in Malaysia have already confirmed they will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S5 on contract once it becomes officially available. It seems the date has been just recently cleared out as well - March 27. Or at least that's what the latest teaser picture suggest.
There is no info on whether March 27 is the date the carriers will begin taking pre-orders for the April 11 launch, or it is the actual release date for the Malaysian market. Without additional details we'll have to believe it is the official premiere date for Malaysia.
If March 27 launch is indeed true, then maybe other countries will be getting the Galaxy S5 ahead of the international launch as well. We'll be following closely this case and report immediately after new information on the subject gets out.

Nokia X scores 1 million pre-orders in China

Nokia's first Android smartphone, the Nokia X has been the talk of the town ever since its introduction at this year's Mobile World Congress. The Nokia X has already gone on sale in countries like India andMalaysia and the device was available for pre-ordering in China.

Nokia has taken to its Weibo account to reveal that the pre-orders for the Nokia X smartphone in China have already reached 1 million in just about 4 days. The Finnish company isn't making any predictions for the overall sales figure in China, but the firm is confident of capturing a fair share of Chinese market with its latest affordable offering.
Nokia X will begin to ship across the country on March 25, so there are still few weeks to go before we get to know the final pre-order figures.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 released in Korea

It looks like Samsung has made their Galaxy Grand 2 smartphone available on its home soil in Korea.
The phone costs 517,000 K. Won, the equivalent of about $484 USD, which does seem pretty steep for the handset.

The Grand 2 packs a 5.25” 720p HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8MP camera, LTE-A, and a 2600mAh battery. The smartphone comes with Android 4.3 out of the box and the usual goodies associated with TouchWiz.
Design wise, expect a faux-leather backing similar to the Note series of phones, and the Grand 2 will be available in both white and black color options.

HTC One 2014 leaked again, this time through a case listing

It has become usual for case manufacturer Spigen to release photos of high-end smartphones wearing its cases before their official reveal and the HTC One 2014 is no exception.
The photo of the HTC One 2014 that's currently available on the Spigen website shows both the front and back of the phone. Spigen's case has special design for the One's dual cameras as well as the dual LED flash. The front is bare of any casing to leave space for the stereo speakers.

There's no actual new information about the HTC One 2014 except the new photo. However, we already know just about everything there is to know about the phone. Its dual cameras will give you more control on where the focus of the photo is and will also shoot in 3D. You can check out our extended coverage of the phone's specs and leaked sales guide. The screen will indeed be a 5" 1080p unit, while the processor is a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801. Under the aluminum unidoby resides a 2,600 mAh battery. The SIM is said to be of the nano variety (like on the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s, Moto X, etc.) and there will be a microSD card slot to compliment the preloaded 16 GB of storage (10GB of which will be user available). HTC plans to sell 32GB and 64GB versions, too.In less than two weeks, we'll know all about the HTC One 2014 as the company will be making it official on March 25.

HTC One 2014 forgets it's not official yet, hits eBay

The HTC One 2014 (M8) leaks have been all over the place lately, but didn't suspect they'll go as far as this. Verizon-branded 32GB HTC One 4G LTE has been listed on eBay for sale.
Carrying a $499.99 price tag, the eBay listing shows the packaging of the phone, which also confirms it's going to be called like its predecessor - the HTC One (the All New part has been dropped from the box label).
The phone itself isn't photographed for the eBay listing, but we already saw the 2014 HTC One withVerizon branding earlier today, when a dummy unit also hit eBay.
Yesterday we gave you almost all the information of the upcoming flagship phone you need. We already know the second camera will be used for selective focus and 3D shooting. The phone's specifications are also out detailing the One will feature a 5" 1080p screen, Snapdragon 801 chipset, 4MP camera on the back and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Samsung Galaxy S5 pre-orders in the UK to start on March 28

The Samsung Galaxy S5 pre-orders are roving across Europe and its seems they'll hit the UK in a couple of weeks – the latest information says that Brits will be able to pre-order Samsung's new flagship starting March 28.
The actual launch date is set for April 11, other European countries are going for an April launch too.

There's no info on the price just yet but on the mainland it's €600-700, so expect a £500-600 price tag for a SIM-free Galaxy S5 in the UK. Unlocked Mobiles has a price already - £550 - but those early prices are sometimes inaccurate.
The phone will be available on-contract too, of course. EE, Vodafone and Three have already confirmed they'll be offering the S5.
Carphone Warehouse reports that pre-registrations of people interested in the Galaxy S5 over a 10 day period are 130% more than the pre-registrations for its predecessor, the Galaxy S4. We'll see how those translate to pre-orders in a couple of weeks' time
